Location: Budagavi (Lat. 14°5749.6N; Long. 77°1413.3E) village is   5 Kms from Uravakonda and 60 Kms from Ananthapuramu District headquarters town on Ananthapuramu-Bellary road.

Brief History of Sree Ramalingeswara swamy temple:

Sree Ramalingeswara swamy temple is situated on the Northern side of the Budagavi Village. The flat roofed twin temple consists of two sanctums and an antaralaya with a common mandapa. The main sanctum contains a Shivalinga made of black stone facing east. A seated Nandi, the vehicle of Lord Shiva, in granite stone is placed in the antaralaya.

In the Northern sanctum of the temple an image of Lord Surya (Sun god) carved in granite stone is placed facing south. The god holds Lotuses in both of his two hands. Two female deities probably Sandhya and Prabha are depicted on either side of surya in the bottom.    Dwarapalakas are depicted on the door jams of the main sanctum with Gaja Lakshmi motif on the lintel. This temple is belived to belong to late medieval period.
