Administrative Structure

The Sub-Division is divided into Mandals. Anantapuramu District consists of 31 Mandals. Each Mandal is headed by a Tahsildar.

The Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) has magisterial powers and functions similarly to the erstwhile Taluk Tahsildars. The MRO acts as a key interface between the government and the public, implementing welfare measures, collecting information, conducting inquiries, and reporting to higher authorities for effective decision-making.

Supporting staff include:

• Deputy Tahsildar: Manages daily operations and general administration.
• Mandal Revenue Inspector (MRI): Conducts inspections, supervises Village Revenue Officers, and monitors field activities.
• Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO): Maintains data on rainfall, crops, and population; assists in surveys and census activities.
• Mandal Surveyor: Aids in survey operations with help from the Chain Man.
