Location: Kummeta village is situated (Lat. 14°5816.1N; Long. 77°5257.4E) at a distance of 14 Kms South of Yadiki, in Tadipatri mandal, in Ananthapuramu District. The river pennar flows a few kilometers towards South of the village.

Brief History of Sri Lakshmi Chennakesava swamy temple:

Sri Lakshmi Chennakesava swamy temple is situated in the midst of the village. It is the construction of dressed stone blocks. It has an Adhistana of three feet height. The Temple consists of sanctum, an antharalaya, an open mukhamandapa with 16 pillars, four in each row. It has ekatala vimana constructed with brick and lime.  It faces East and on architectural grounds it can be assigned to Vijayanagara period. The sanctum houses the idol of Lord Chennakesava in black stone. An inscription in Telugu and Kannada scripts is noticed in the temple premises of donative in nature.
